The classrooms at Creative Discovery Preschool are designed to be secure and nurturing, while promoting exploration and discovery. Children are provided with the space and materials to help support their individual development through hands-on experiences. 

We plan the learning environments to meet the needs of children of various ages, ensuring that toddlers have access to the floor space that is critical for motor skills development while older children have spaces that facilitate social development and interaction, as well as individual discovery.

Music and Movement for Learning

Music and movement are two of the most important ways to nurture individual and social development in children. Physical activity of all kinds is very important for maintaining health and supporting learning. In addition, both music and movement help to develop children’s language skills, self-expression, confidence, and coordination. 

These activities are well-loved by even the youngest children, and help to spark children’s interests and curiosity within a wide range of intellectual pursuits.

A Safe and Clean Environment

With many children in one location, everyone’s health and safety is a priority. We take serious measures to prevent the spread of germs. We regularly disinfect all children’s areas, toys, and learning materials, and make sure to use products that are not harmful to the children’s health and well-being. 

We are committed to the safety of our children and follow a set of strict guidelines and procedures to ensure it: 

• Building access. All of our entrances are secured, preventing access of unauthorized visitors.
• Visitor requirements. All unfamiliar visitors must be identified with photo identification and authorized by the school director or assistant director.
• Toys and equipment. From toys to learning materials to furniture, we maintain the highest safety protocols and regularly inspect all equipment to ensure ongoing safety.

Nutrition that Supports Children’s Health 

Creative Discovery Preschool strives to meet all children’s nutritional needs. We create balanced menus with nutritious   meals. Daily meals include breakfasts, hot lunches, and afternoon snacks. Children share family-style meals and participate in table-setting, food-serving, and clean-up. Our meals are designed to meet  all licensing guidelines. 

Meeting children’s individual nutritional needs is our highest priority in creating a positive and nurturing environment. We keep records of the allergens, religious requirements, and other special dietary needs relevant to the children, and we regularly inform parents about the meals served at the school.
